I usually get declined when I
apply for a new loan or credit card. How can I
improve my credit score?
There are several ways to improve your
credit score such as: making payments on time
every month, staying under the credit limit on
your accounts, and only opening new accounts
when necessary. You can order a copy of your
credit report along with the score from each of
the three major credit bureaus. When you order
your report, you will also receive an analysis
of your report with tips for improving your
score.
When will I receive my card
and credit line?
You will receive a letter indicating your
credit line and the card within 7-10 business
days after the application is approved. A
Personal Identification Number (PIN) and
convenience checks will arrive separately.
How do I know which rate my
account is assigned?
There will be a disclosure that is mailed
with the credit card that explains the Annual
Percentage Rate (APR).
How is the APR calculated?
The Annual Percentage Rate (APR) is
calculated by adding a margin to the Prime Rate.
The Prime Rate is the highest Prime Rate as
published in The Wall Street Journal for the preceding three months and is subject
to change two days prior to your closing/billing
statement for that billing period.
How do I know what fees are
on my account?
The disclosure that accompanies your credit
card will explain the fees on the account.
Who do I contact if I have
additional questions?
You can contact the Credit Department at
1-800-820-8417 (Monday-Friday, 9AM-5PM CST).
